1. my main use for the internet is to watch television programmes or videos that i have missed. with the access of websites like 4od and bbc iplayer, i am able to watch television programmes when ever i want. as well as this, websites like youtube allow me to watch videos made by people that i have subsribed to or watch music videos by the bands i listen to. my internet usage also mostly revolves around my finding new music to listen to or see. i am able to do this on sites like youtube or programmes like Spotify. Spotify allows me to listen to almost any music that i want for free which has enabled me to listen to and discover new music.
As well as this, facebook allows everyone to communicate with all of their friends in a massive community of people.

2. i agree David Buckinghams theory of a creative audience very strongly as it has become more and more obvious with sites like youtube that the audience is now in a much stronger position to create their own media products and release them on to the internet for free and allow others to watch their creations. i feel that this is a good thing because as a result of this, new ideas and styles can grow due to 'ametures' recreating them. Stuart Hall suggests that we all view media texts in different ways which are preffered or dominant inwhich an audience views the texts in the way the producers wanted, negotiated readings inwhich the audience will debate with themselves on how they should feel
